LIQUID FILLING AT IT'S BEST

Piston Filler: Model SVS-J

The SVS-J is our smallest piston filler, with a base of 19.5" by 9.5" and weighing approximately 35 LB.

Interchangeable product cylinders range in size from .25 inches to 2 inches in diameter with a fill range from .2 to 8.5 fluid ounces.

The SVS-J works well for lab use, start-up operation or small batch runs.

The SVS-J has also been mounted on vertical and horizontal form-fill-seal machines.

The SVS-J is used in many applications in the cosmetic, personal care and food industries.

Piston Filler: Model SVSPiston Filler Model SVS

The SVS piston filler is the big brother to the SVS- J.

It has the same design features only on a larger scale and with heavier duty components. The SVS can be supplied as a table top unit (as shown) or mounted on an adjustable stainless steel pedestal.

The SVS can be supplied with additional interchangeable cylinder and piston assemblies to fill from fractional ounces to one gallon with a single machine cycle.

The SVS also features a larger hopper and larger valve porting for filling chunky products such as potato salad and pie fillings. REB'S SVS provides accurate filling and depositing of products including pastes, frostings, gels, sauces, batters, oils and even thin liquids such as solvents.

We have designed and made many special types of dispensing nozzles for different applications, such as:
  • depositing a patty of sandwich spread bread
  • depositing a portion of burrito meat
  • dispensing BBQ sauce in a pouch
  • filling cubatainer bags with motor lubricants

Piston Filler: Model DVS

Piston Filler Model DVS

The DVS piston filler model is a dual cylinder machine.

It has design features and pneumatic drive system are similar to the SVS. The DVS utilizes the REB end valve, with the product cylinder and dispensing valve in a single sanitary unit.

The DVS is also capable of being supplied with large ported valves.

T he DVS can be supplied as a table top unit or fitted to an adjustable height stainless steel pedestal.

Automatic Piston Fillers & Depositors

REB has a full line of automatic, inline piston filling and depositing systems.

Our inline piston fillers range from a single cylinder to a ten cylinder system.

Filling speeds range from 10 - 120 containers per minute.

Inline Piston Filler System

IVS series

REB's IVS series of fillers and depositors can fill a very large range of products from thin solvents to thick gels and pastes to large particulated products such as potato salad and pie fillings. Fill sizes (on a single machine cycle) range from fractional ounces to 5 liters. All of our automated inline filling systems are supplied with positive closing nozzles and powered conveyors. The machine frames are all stainless steel and the product contact systems are stainless steel and food grade plastics. We have designed our product contact system using sanitary quick clamp fittings to allow operators easy disassembly.

Our automatic inline systems can have one of two types of piston drives, depending on the application: pneumatic piston drives, and hydraulic piston drives.

We have developed four different types of container indexing systems for our filling systems. Depending on your needs, up to three types can be used on one machine. This makes the machine very flexible for filling a variety of containers. As a standard, REB supplies the gating finger method of indexing, which is the most versatile for filling a wide range of container shapes and sizes. We can also supply an indexing star-wheel, which is used mostly for round containers and can give you faster indexing speeds. The third method of container indexing is the servo motor-driven timing screw (spiral). This is used mainly when oval containers are being filled. This eliminates container shingling and positions the bottles under the nozzles consistently. The last type of container indexing we use is a multiple lane indexing conveyor system. The type of container indexing used is dependent upon the application and container.

Our automatic inline systems are controlled by a programmable logic controller (PLC.) We use Allen Bradley as our standard, but we have used, and are willing to use, other brands per customer specifications. All of our machines have a gross volume adjustment and a fine tune adjustment. The hydraulic drive unit is capable of having its gross volume changed from the operator interface control panel. On the pneumatic drive units, the gross volume is adjusted manually, by a handwheel at the rear of the machine.

The IVS filling and depositing systems can be built to be expanded at a later date for increased production demands.

The REB IVS series of automatic filling and depositing systems are available with a number of optional features:

  • Larger and Special Hoppers

  • Hopper Lifts

  • Agitated Hoppers

  • Multiple Stroke Fills

  • Interchangeable Product Cylinder and Piston Assemblies

  • Special Conveyors: "U" Shaped, Right Angle Turn or Raised Sanitary

  • Bottom-Up Filling Nozzle Assemblies

  • Touch Screen Operator Interface Controls

  • Container Neck Centering Mechanism

  • NEMA 7 Explosion Proof Electrical System

  • Heated Cabinets

Inline Level Filler (Pressure or Gravity)

Automatic Filling System: Model ILS-A REB offers level filling systems for pressure or gravity applications with our Model ILS series, available in configurations of 2 to 12 filling spouts and can accommodate container sizes ranging from ounces to multiple gallons.

The ILS series of level fillers can handle products ranging from thin foamy products to heavier products with viscosities similar to shampoo. These systems fill to a specified level in rigid containers and are accurate to +/- 1/16" in fill height.

The ILS features a stainless steel frame and the product contact system is made of stainless steel and USDA approved plastics.

We offer a selection of pump configurations based on the type of products filled and the production rated required.
A fully automated system supplied with a 10 foot, powered conveyor with programmable logic controller (PLC) and container sensors control the machine functions.

To accommodate a wide variety of containers, we offer three types of container indexing.

Pneumatically controlled gating fingers is the standard system, providing the most versatility and faster indexing speeds.

A timing screw or spiral can be used to position oval containers (which are prone to shingling) under the nozzles consistently.

Automatic Filling System
Semi Auto Filling System: Model ILS-SA The ILS-SA is supplied with the same frame, product contact system and conveyor as the automatic model. This filling system is operator controlled and all the functions, including the nozzle spout bar movement and container indexing, are controlled by manual switches and levers.
Manual Filling System: Model ILS-M
The ILS-M is a completely manual filling system with a container slide track instead of a power conveyor. The containers must be pushed in and out of the fill zone manually. The operator controls the movement of the nozzle spout bar and operation of the pump via manual switches and levers. The system is used for low volume, pilot runs, or situations which do not justify a fully automated system.

Optional Features:

  • Container Neck Centering Device
  • Drip Tray
  • Sanitary Raised Conveyor

Manual Filling System

Rotary Piston Filler

Rotary Piston Fillers

REB rotary piston filler systems come in 9, 12 and 18 cylinder standard frame size machines and a 9 and 12 cylinder gallon frame size machines.

Our rotary piston filling systems are equipped with a number of excellent features. All of the wetted metal contact parts are made of 316 stainless steel. We supply our machine with two types of volume adjustment, a gross volume adjustment and an individual piston adjustment.

Our rotary piston fillers are controlled via a PLC. Allen Bradley is our standard. We have incorporated a touch screen as the operator interface panel.

Our rotary piston filling systems run at speeds of 10 to 15 revolutions per minute with fill volumes of .5 fl oz to 139 fl oz.

Our rotary piston filling systems can dispense cold or hot products and products that range in viscosities from light oils to sauces to thick creams to pie fillings into a wide range of container shapes
